Open Day at the archaeological excavation in Logrosan

Before finishing the 2016 excavation campaign in the Cerro de San Cristóbal, (Logrosán, Cáceres),  on Tuesday, July 12th, an Open Day is planned, jointly organized by the City of Logrosán and the UEX excavation team. The most relevant results obtained in the campaign will be presented in a guided tour in the Western Sector, where the main remains of the settlement (circular huts) and the tin mining works of the Tartessian period (9th-7th century B.C.) are located. Also the Contemporary (1950-1960) mining operations discoreved in a 200 m long trench will be visited.The meeting point will be at the Health Center in Logrosán, at 19:45 h. The trip to the site will be on foot, so appropriate shoes and water are recommended. For safety reasons, children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
